Challenge
Golden Oak Venue — a 240-guest event space in downtown Odessa, TX hosting weddings, quinceañeras, corporate events, and parties — was completely invisible to search engines and AI answer engines. A comprehensive audit uncovered critical technical failures: the entire site was client-side rendered (CSR), meaning crawlers received an empty HTML shell with a default 'A product of emergent.sh' title. Two key pages (/venue and /faq) rendered entirely blank. The robots.txt and sitemap.xml both returned the React app shell instead of valid files. FAQ schema used invalid bilingual objects that Google rejected. A NAP collision with a previous tenant ('The Copper Rose') at the same address actively suppressed local search rankings. Pricing discrepancies between page content and schema markup ($1,750 vs $2,800 for the same package) eroded trust signals. The homepage and /events page competed for identical keywords, cannibalizing each other's ranking potential.
Solution
Digital Media Ninja conducted a full-spectrum SEO, AEO, GEO, and CRO audit covering technical infrastructure, on-page content, schema markup, local SEO, AI engine visibility, and conversion optimization. We delivered a prioritized 24-item action plan across four phases (P0–P3) with a complete schema markup package ready for implementation. The core fix was implementing server-side rendering (SSR) via the existing setupProxy.js bot-detection middleware — the same architecture Digital Media Ninja uses on its own site — to serve fully-rendered HTML with correct titles, meta descriptions, canonical tags, and JSON-LD structured data to every crawler and AI bot. We resolved the NAP collision by establishing a single canonical business identity across all directories, fixed the blank pages, created valid robots.txt and sitemap.xml, corrected all schema markup (EventVenue, LocalBusiness, OfferCatalog, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList), reconciled pricing across all touchpoints, and designed a keyword mapping strategy that eliminated cannibalization by assigning dedicated pages to each event type.
Results
- 24 critical issues identified and prioritized across P0–P3 phases
- Complete SSR implementation plan delivered — crawlers now receive full HTML instead of empty shell
- 8 schema types implemented: Organization, EventVenue, LocalBusiness, OfferCatalog, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, ImageGallery, ContactPage
- NAP collision resolved — single canonical business identity established
- 2 blank pages (/venue, /faq) fixed and fully content-populated
- Keyword cannibalization eliminated with dedicated event-type URL architecture
- robots.txt and sitemap.xml properly served (previously returning React app shell)
- AI bot accessibility enabled — GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot now receive structured content
- 5 new dedicated event pages planned: /weddings, /quinceaneras, /corporate-events, /birthday-parties, /social-events
- llms.txt deployed for direct AI model entity recognition
